Cherubino's Chardonnays Featured in The World of Fine Wine
Two Cherubino Chardonnays have been featured in The World of Fine Wine as part of a major feature on Australian Chardonnay by Ken Gargett.
The piece covers the variety's history across the country and benchmarks its finest producers. Two Cherubino Chardonnays were reviewed:
2023 Cherubino Chardonnay Margaret River — 97 points Honeysuckle, oatmeal, stone fruits, glacé ginger, and gunflint — complex and intense, with knife-edge balance and extraordinary length. Will easily see 10–15 years.
2023 Cherubino Black Label Pemberton Chardonnay — 96 points Ginger, spices, white peaches, citrus, nectarines, and a bright limoncello note — juicy acidity running the full length, beautifully balanced and very long. Up to 15 years ahead.
Both wines reflect what Larry has always believed: that the most important work happens in the vineyard. These are sites that have been carefully tended over many years — and it shows in the glass.
