Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve at City Cellar

For these two nights that close out the year, we’re bringing a little of Italy to Subiaco. 

Christmas Eve is the feast of the seven fishes, the way it’s done in so many Italian homes, with our Head of Culinary, Ben Jacob, putting his own spin on every course.

And Capodanno is the kind of New Year’s Eve Larry and Edwina would want for themselves: a long dinner, a good bottle open, and a glass in hand when the clock strikes twelve.

And to drink, the full City Cellar list is open both nights: wine by the glass and bottle, cocktails, and the rest of the bar.

Notte di Natale

The feast of the seven fishes
Thursday 24 December

A snack and four courses built around oysters, sardines, octopus, clams, snapper, king prawns and mussels. How each one arrives, we’ll keep as a surprise. Even dessert sticks to the theme.

Two sittings: 6pm and 8:30pm / $200 per person, with crayfish available for an additional $55 per person

Capodanno

A night in Italy. A party in Perth.
Thursday 31 December

A four-course feast for the last night of the year: gnocco fritto, salumi and kingfish crudo to start, cavatelli with blue swimmer crab and chilli, City Cellar roast beef, and panettone semifreddo to finish. For the second sitting, the night carries on, with a sparkling toast at midnight, cotechino and lentils for luck in the year ahead, and pandoro.

First sitting, 6pm: $200 per person / Second sitting, 8:30pm: $250 per person, including a midnight toast and late-night bites.

Good to know

Bookings are essential for both set menus. Notte di Natale is seafood from start to finish, with no alternative menu. For Capodanno, some changes may be possible. If you have dietary requirements, please get in touch before booking: bookings@citycellar.com.au

Please let us know of any cancellation at least 7 days before your booking. Late cancellations and no-shows incur a fee of $25 per person, and cancellations within 24 hours incur a fee of $50 per person, charged to the card on file.
