2022 Uovo Cabernet Touriga

Made in a clay cement ovoid tank - a giant "egg" - the lees are continuously forced upward by an internal current resembling a vortex. This gives the wine voluptuousness, purity and texture.

Cabernet Touriga blends typically combine Cabernet Sauvignon, a well-known varietal with Touriga Nacional, a Portuguese grape that is known for its intense colour and flavours. The resulting wine is full-bodied with high tannins and acidity, making it ideal for ageing.

Rich and full-bodied with firm tannins and good acidity. The nose has notes of dark fruit, blackberry and black cherry, along with hints of spice and tobacco.

On the palate, flavours of ripe fruit, chocolate and coffee may be present. The finish should be long and satisfying, with a good balance of tannins and acidity.
